Geldenhuys had fifty years of breeding history and no website at all. The auction ran on a printed catalogue, an agent's phone number and whatever circulated on WhatsApp in the weeks before the sale.

That works for the buyers who already know the farm. It does nothing for the buyer two provinces away who hears the name for the first time in June and has no way to check the lots, the venue or the terms.

There was also a language problem nobody wanted to solve twice: the farm speaks Afrikaans, the wider Bonsmara market does not always.

This is an auction build, so the auction sets the structure. The sale date, time, venue and GPS coordinates sit on the home page, with a countdown driven by the real sale date. The lot catalogue lives on the site instead of in a PDF nobody can find.

Afrikaans and English run off one build with a language switch, so there is no second site to maintain. The bidding path is explicit — on-farm and online through BKB and Meerkat — because an unclear bidding route loses bids.

The stud went from no digital presence to a full auction site with the catalogue, the bidding routes and the history in one place. Buyers can now be sent one link instead of a poster, a phone number and a PDF.

We have not yet measured a sale-week traffic figure for this build — the auction is still ahead. When we have that number, it goes on this page. We are not going to guess it.
